best broad bean recipe this year

The last of the broad beans...


Made a delicious broad beans and serrano ham - from free rioja cookery book
1 tablespoon olive oil
4oz diced serrano ham - we have also used chorizo - v good
2 garlic cloves - sliced
8oz podded broad bns
3foz white wine
2 tomatoes
1 tablespoon chopped dill - didn't have this - used mint!
salt and pepper

Heat oil, add ham and brown it
Lower heat, add garlic and beans
Fry gently for 5 mins
Add wine and toms - bring to boil
cover pan and simmer 10-15 mins
Season and serve with herbs

( we made tons and also enjoyed it cold for lunch)
