Hi!

Having a wheat intolerance I thought I'd let my buckwheat grow on instead of digging it in.

One problem...

How the heck do I harvest the stuff?!  :o

I have Lactose intolerance and had the endoscopy for Ceoliac, ( negative!) so you have my sympathy. I can't even get the stuff to grow let alone harvest.....

Interesting stuff - I'd never realised buckwheat wasn't real wheat.  :)
Googled and read some articles, and this one appears to be a reasonable, down-to-earth basic one:

Saddad - you have my sympathy.  Don't know how I'd get by without milk, cheese etc  Don't know how I got it to grow either - though it seems to be one of the few things that does grow without a problem - and the birds/rabbits etc don't touch it either! :)  I just scattered the seeds over 2 beds when I finished clearing them in March.  Partly for green manure and partly to stop weeds growing.  It grew slowly till the rain and sun started then whoosh!  You could almost see it grow.

jennym - thanks for the link.  Shall get a pair of garden shears and a blanket this weekend  ;D
