Lucky you - I have it on some varieties every year!!

jennym

No expert, but it seeems to me that the semi-determinate ones do this more than the others. I have it particularly on some yellow tomatoes, saved seed, don't know variety name.

sandersj89

I do get it on the flower trusses but never really noticed it on the fronds.

Agree with Jenny that the semi-determinate types display the character more.

Many of my heritage varieties tend to grow from the end of the flower trusses!
;D

Hyacinth

My Marmande in the g/house this year are doing the same as yours, Tim.

Tulipa

One of my Gardener's Delight did that too, I snapped off the leaves off the end of the truss, was that the right thing to do?  T.

Since it's not in the rule book that they should sprout like that, I doubt that there's a rule for dealing with it.

But, yes - take them off to save energy.

djbrenton

Like the fasciate flowers this seems to be more common this year than last. Scarcely a plant of mine isn't doing this.

growmore

Most of my alicante's have done same just been around cutting them off;;
