You know how much men like to laugh at and point out faults with women drivers, well -----

tea time last night my hubby was driving me home when another male driver drove straight off a motorway sliproad, onto the road we were on, and into the passenger side door and front wing of our car - he did'nt even look to his right (the direction from which we were travelling). As the passenger, I was lucky I didn't get killed !! The car wasn't quite so lucky, but we are hoping it can be put right, if not, we'll have to shake the 'old money tree' and see how much drops off it - if any.
The other driver had just travelled from London in his rental car, after arriving in England yesterday morning on a business trip from Switzerland. What makes me think that he has not been inconvenienced. He's flying home tomorrow, and I expect his own car which is probably sitting safely in his garage.

Sorry but I had to have a moan.

eek. scary. Very glad you're ok. Won't his insurance cover your repairs?

If your hubby ever talks about women being bad drivers again remind him that our insurance is lower than men as we are statistically safer drivers.
gone to pot :D

Glad you are ok, Join the club. It was a man who drove into the back of daughters car. Hope you are better served by your insurers and garage. We are still waiting 9 weeks later for hers to be returned in a safe and legal condition. Have you looked at Kenkews car?

Hope his insurance company coughs up.

Glad you weren't hurt.

Thanks everyone - yes we are fine. Took the car into the body repair shop yesterday afternoon (on instruction from our insurance company) and the estimate is £700 - £800. Hopefully the insurers for the Avis rental car will pay up.

Got the price of a fix on my car yesterday. â,¬2,900. That's about 2,000 quid! The 'other' driver's Range Rover has been impounded by the police due to an insurance problem! The plates on the car don't belong to the Range Rover....still wondering about the outcome of it all.

And I thought we had problems! Hope you get yours sorted out.
