Every year, in the village of Faldingworth on the A46 between Lincoln and Market Rasen there is a Scarecrow Exhibition. The whole village is encouraged to build a scarecrow to put in their garden.
Each year has a different 'theme'. This years theme is Festivals and Traditions. I'm afraid it all ends on Sunday 11th but next year I'll try to remember to post news about it before it starts.
We took quite a few photographs and I thought you might like to see some of them.....

1. Yorkshire Drystone Walling

2. Wimbledon

3.Valentines Day

4. Trip Week

5. The Scarecrow

6. Sunday School Outing

7. Stag Night

8.Saw pit, Wheelwright and Blacksmith

9. Royal Film Festival

10 Royal Ascot

11. Pop Festival

12. Olympics

Don't know how good any of them would be for scaring birds! More tomorrow.......

They are fantastic, what a brilliant thing to do.  People must plan ages ahead to make such wonderful scarecrows.   :)

There is the added bonus of being able to have a 'neb' into people's gardens without them setting their dog on you!

Oh Wow! those are brilliant :D Thanks for sharing the photos. Thinking about it my allotment looks pretty empty without our scarecrow, he finally broke apart a few weeks ago in those winds we had.  I might build one in the summer holidays with the children. :)
