I grow a lot of gem squash and usually leave them on the plant through summer. Usually mine are eating size around august. Are yours turning yellow? They should be a mid green when they are golfball size. If thay are still green, they should continue growing. Gems enjoy a sunny spot, fertile soil and lots of water.

I grow a lot of Gem Squash also Rolet (same type) one fiberous the other smoother, harvest mine about August/September. Had the last 2 from last year Sunday.
