New allotmenteer, and would like tips on what will grow best - to at least keep me motivated.  Have planted broad beans, cabbage, curly kale, and peas....   any other suggestions. 
Also - do I need to protect any of the above from slugs, caterpillars, piegeons etc....  If so with what.... very new to this game, but enjoying it so far.  Thanks ::)

....i think what would be a good idea is to trawl thru the a4a site here...

every question that has been asked in the known universe about allotmenteering and growing stuff has been dealt with in one section or another...-and if you have a specific question click on the 'edible' section and post there-you'll get a quicker response-this section is really just for swapping seeds and plants-its a great site tho and we're all really helpful-theres loads of gardeners who really know theyre stuff !
