hi, this is my first post! ;D

I kept my broad bean seedlings indoors too long before planting them out.
They are short (15 cm) and leggy and curvy, and have started to flower.

Would it benefit them if I nip the flowers off? Will it encouraged them to grow a bit more before (re-)flowering?

Is there anything I can do to help them along at all at this stage?

THANKS!

What variety are they Luckystar? Flowering is usually a survival response in annuals so it might be worth just starting again, it is not too late. I wouldn't remove the flowers just plant them and wait and see, if you have the space.

Not sure what variety. The seeds were given to me without the original packet.

Thanks for replying Saddad. OK I'll wait and see!

I planted some BBeans at the end of last year that really didn't over winter, got half a dozen good plants out of three rows, yet the year before they were amazing, there is always some trial and error every year!

You could try planting them deeply, like sticking them a good 8cm into the ground.  Mine were bendy for some reason, but once they were out, they soon started heading straight up and are now smothered in flowers!  ;D  Still time to sow more.
