I bought a "Gran's favourite" last year and it flowered all through summer and winter. I dead-headed it in March and cut off some straggly bits, but am wondering if I should have cut it right back, as I can see a lot of newer growth further down.
The fairest thing in nature, a flower, still has it's roots in earth and manure.

I would be tempted to give it a bit of a hair cut.

They are also very easy to propogate from cuttings in the late summer autumn.
