Another little thought -

- now that mint & chives, & tarragon & lovage are racing ahead, do remember always to have some clumps cut back to give succession?

Tim, they are so much nicer when the tender leaves come after you cut them back, aren't they? I also pot some up for winter and have indoors on the windowsill.
My problem at the moment is mint and chives which are roaming through the allotment - seem to be forever pulling out mint roots, and clumps of chive are appearing in the cracks on one path!
