Raspberry canes

Going to collect some raspberry canes from somebody on freecycle. They have just moved in so they are not sure what sort they are. Anybody got any experience of digging up and moving canes at this time of year!!

The'll be OK; they're extremely tough. I'm having problems exterminating some of mine! They can get viruses, in which case they're no good, so check what sort of crop they've been producing if you can. Put them in, cut them back, keep them well watered for a while, and they should be fine.
