Protecting carrots

i feel bad enough when some of them keel over naturally but to deliberately destroy them !!!!   :o :( :-\ ;D

Just wanted to let everyone know - had a peek under the fleece today and all six rows of carrots have sprouted - yippee ;D

I'm trying 3 different types - Amsterdam forcing, Early nantes and an F1 (I know) variety whose name escapes, but promises high degrees of carrot fly resistance.

So now I am REALLY interested in protecting my carrots. ;D
