The demise of my pumpkin seedling.

I have tears (of laughter) running down my face,
I had left my back door open, Elsa was roaming in and out. I was  sitting here and Elsa came back and laid down. Suddenly she "flew" out to the kitchen .  A blackbird had come in but instead of going back out through the door when Elsa  gave chase it flew on to the windowsill. I now have a seedling which looks like it is trying to touch it's toes ;D .The stem  hasn't snapped so will see what happens. You would think the birds have enough food out there. They used to come in last year and peck at Elsa's biscuit..
I made things worse by trying to lean across work surface to open the window.
Anyhow I had sown seed far too early. ;D ;D

How I laughed Lorna, well the toe-touching exercise might do it some good, you never know. Myrtle's gorgeous baby pictures on the chat could tide you over til your new ones come up! ;D ;)

Aw!! I am sorry about your pumpkin seedling Lorna!  What a thing to happen, but at least you can see the funny side.  Anyway you know you can germinate them now, so the next one will be even better.  Onward and upward!  :D busy_lizzie

Commiserations Lorna, I get all sad when my seedlings keel over for whatever reason. I lost one tomatillo the other day, the stem snapped carrying it home from a warm shelf at work, and it never recovered.
The impossible is just a journey away ...

You know what will happen Lorna...that single bruised plant will carry on to grow the biggest, ripest, most glorious fruits of all!  It is that Sods Law, catches me every darn time!

Emma Believe it or not it is now almost upright! It does have a nasty kink half way up ;D Emma it is now 5ins high that means it has grown 2more ins in a day.  ::)I think I had better put it in my cool (40f) greenhouse. I did take a pic of it when it had flopped over ;D How many sets of leaves do they have please?
Regards Lorna.
