Hi just wondered what everybody thinks to the increase in fuel bills, and how it is effecting you all on using your propargators and heating for the greenhouse, I know that it is making me think twice about using them.  Also why does nothing seem to being said or done by are MPs about these increases, is there not anything that we could do instead of sitting here and letting them get away with it.

  I feel like starting a revolution.   ;D

if i had the energy i'd be insensed.  as it is, i'm waiting for the first quarter's bill after the increase to worry too much about limiting my usage just now.

i don't have the worry of additional heating in the greenhouse and i'm not growing sufficient quanantites this year to consider buying a heated propogator,  this year at least.  70% of what i've sown indoors so far has germinated and i happy with that return.  but i refuse to be cold indoors.

nothing get's said because nothing will get done, and we're all so tired from being bombarded left, right, north, south, everywhichway that we haven't got the energy to fight any more, although I don't think it would take much for the people to riseup.  We've just got to find one credible candidate who we would unite behind - not the easiest of tasks, but when was a revolution ever simple ?  ::)

This year I'm on Powergen's fixed gas&leccy rate for OAPs - ahhhh, the benefits of Old Age, eh?
Next year.......I'm bu**ering off somewhere hot for the winter months. REFUSE to stay here paying loads of dosh......and for what?
I'll cheer your riot on from afar, tho...languidly waving a long, possibly alcoholic beverage your way from my friend's Thai paradise.....

i'm with you there mrs kp-we've been worn down so much over the past few years i'm not sure we have any fight left in us now....
and anyway-with all the shenanigans we have endured we now know that no-one takes the responsibility for anything-you cant tell the socialists from the tories any more and when the proverbial does hit the fan, they wait a few weeks then its all forgiven and we go back to normal-

riot?
i predict a nice snooze......

Richard. Yes because of the recent increases I am trying to be a little more careful. Normally if I go off shopping for a couple of hours I  leave the central heating on, now I turn it off, it only takes a few minutes to warm the place up.
I have also put the greenhouse heater on a lower setting, I am trying to (for the first time) germinate seeds in the house.
I do have a heated propergator but do not use it, I fear it may run away with the electricity.
I just do not know what we can do and I am not pleading poverty just get a bit fed up with having to make pension stretch a little further. Yes I run a car but this enables me to still visit friends (too far to walk) and also to help out with school runs for young Lorna when needed. I really feel sorry for young families trying to cope with house prices, mortgages and all the increases which seem to appear at every turn.

Start a fuel uprising Richard, i will join in ,sick and tired of this goverment just letting everything slide by them and say nothing, because they do not have to worry about paying bills. >:( >:( >:(.

i pay 53.00 for gas and 52.00 a month for elec  thats 105.00 to British gas I'm sure I'm being diddled some where along the line 105.00 x 12 months and i dont even want to type it down  :o :o :o :o i think it would be cheaper to sit in the car with the heater on there again petrol prices don't get me started i found a receipt from when i started driving 6 years ago and it was only 62.9 now its 98.8 everything need goses up and up where /when  will it stop

lorna

loulou. In 1972 when we bought a petrol station 4* petrol was 32.5p per GALLON.
In those days we sold 2* 3* 4* and Super 5*. Then again we paid our lorry drivers £40per week basic wage. Any mathematician out there can make a comparison?? ;D

Loulou, although all the companies are (apparently) going to increase their prices, have you checked with simplyswitch to check whether you can get a cheaper price?

Do not think the government is worried about the fuel price increase because every time it goes up it is more revenue for them in the VAT for them, why l am having a good old moan what ever became of TWO JAGS PRESSCOTT not paying his council tax, is he in prison somewhere the same place as he sent that pensioner to for not paying His/Hers.

Somehow I think not.
                                     ???
