Am wanting to start a collection of different mints this year as I love the stuff. Am going to plant in containers and would love a different varieties. Have been lucky enough to get a couple of roots (eau de cologne mint and ginger mint) from members on A4A. If you have any your digging up please don't throw away, i'll have it  :D

Am particularly after ....
* curly mint
* chocolate mint
* evergreen mint
* pineapple mint
* catmint
* spearmint
* bergamot mint
but any other varieties will do as I only have a couple.

Will swap for flower seeds.
PM me for more details.

Hello,

Looks like you already have all the mints I could supply - good luck hunting for the rest.

A word of advice tho - I have it on good authority from a fellow mint grower that if you keep lots of differnt types of mint together they will interbreed outrageously, any new plants that shoot up about the place will not come true and can cause havoc by taking over the original mints.

Terrible behaviour from plants if you ask me!

Thanks, am planning to grow them all in different pots and keeping them well away from each other!  ;D

Robert_Brenchley

That's the best way to grow them, otherwise they take over.

Just to say that my apple mint's not made an appearance yet, but haven't forgotten.......will send off as soon as I can (ie when the weather warms up & it kicks into growth).

I'll also put in some curry mint & 'ordinary' menta vulgaris if you'd like? Again, apart from the common mint, no show so far..

Cheers! Lishka
