Asked yesterday about internal cooking temp for baked pots, to save squidging them all.

Reason? 55 for the Village Hall's Valentine night supper. In 2 AGAs. Luckily!!

So we made notes for the next time. Presumably it will be different for various varieties, but these were all one lot from a village grower.  100C.

While scrubbing the things for 20 min, I wondered why none seemed to be slug-eaten. So asked Daughter to ask grower at the party. Meanwhile, this am - apropos something else - I read that Desirée are slug resistant.

So what did the chap say? Desirée.................and slug pellets!

Sequel? One of the 44 diners cried out - friendly-like - I've got a thing in mine!!

We've got the surplus to fry up tonight.

i wouldnt even bother frying up surplus slugs-just pick them fresh!far better for you tim! ;D
