I'm like a kid on a day-trip ... "Are we there yet, are we there yet? Is it March yet, is it March yet? Can I eat my sandwiches yet mum?"

I'm thinking of sloping off at 4:00pm, i should get 3/4 hour in up the alottment. I've got about 4 more rows to dig then its all finished! Going to dig up my remaining parsnips aswell.

My equivalent of Trixies "are we nearly there yet?"...

"Can I sow my leeks yet? Can I? Oh please, can I?!!!!"

I'm having trouble getting motivated this year....be O.K.when I finally get going I suppose.
My idea of a good time is a new seed catalogue to read.

I haven't dug my plots yet.  A combination of ill health, soggy mucky soil or much too frozen to get a spade in!   :'(  :'(

fat larry

i've got various bits in my seed tray with a lid, and couple of broad beans outside. I wasn';t planning on sowing aubergine till march, and then inside ... why so early?
I will finish it, one day

:o Wow Keef :o Lovley soil, neat plot and lovley pictures, glad you scived off ;D

I've done about half my digging. That's well enough ahead; I can blitz it over half term then finish at Easter if I have to. The main thing is, I'm well ahead and can lay down acres of mulch as I go rather than struggling with the digging. Just for a change.

I don't have enough loorolls yet. :'( I've spent so long training everyone to put them in the recycling that they actually do it now. ::)

roflmao ...... i've just this minute said to "heem" that i've started to save them.  not that he'd ever be likely to change the roll, but i can't take the chance as i need them all  :P

and whilst looking for my Gardeners World chilli seeds last night, i thought i'd get out all the packets that said February or March on them, just so i can play with them while i'm waiting  ;D

I know what you mean Mrs KP...my seed packets are looking a bit dog-eared cos I keep getting them out and looking!!!

Soon the instructions will be unreadable, then where will I be?!!

;)

i planted up 9 (no more no less) sweet peas tonight, just a wee test really (large plastic bag to cover the bedroom floor.  I'm not sure they meant the bedroom when they said Indoor on the pack) but i've found some Tomato Gartenperle seeds i can do tomorrow (and save some for later) ... it can't hurt can it  :P

having looked at the amount of seeds i've got, there is no way i'm going to have room for them all so it won't matter if i lose a few lol

I've got seeds galore at the ready but as I'm very new to allotments (and growing things in general) there's lots to be done when the soil unfreezes.
Can't wait to get something on the go - probably shallots and even though I'm a bit late some garlic as well.

You could stick some broad beans in aswell, they can go in as soon as you can get on the soil.
