Oscars 2006 on the BBC??????

This is a bit of a off topic question. Will the BBC be showing the 2006 Oscars live on television? I am not sure if it was live last year on the BBC.
Will it be live this year?

Aren't they live on Sky with highlights on BBC the next day? Not sure about that.

I thought they were repeated on one of the digital channels last year (the following evening?) like E4 or Living  ??? Never enough coverage of the red carpet (ie. frocks) for my liking, although I love the ceremony too.
