Spreadsheet for cropping

Due to the number of personal emails I have had requesting to see my spreadsheet I mentioned, I have now created a modified version for yourselves.  I am unable to find a way of attaching it here, so if you wish to see a copy, please email myself on lottieholder@tiscali.co.uk.  (I will upload it to a website soon)  It is large - 3.5MB.

The spreadsheet allows you to enter crop details and work out the total length of "bed space" required, depending upon the "yield" you require.  It also shows how much spare space is available for each "rotation".  It also monitors costs and suppliers.  The whole thing is customisable for yourself and is currently unprotected.

I don't know how it compares to others, but you are welcome to have a look.  Others may be better/more advanced

It does rely on some Excel knowledge.  I have written instructions though.

Pleae note, this is a Beta version (version 1)  and is currently quite manual/basic as I wrote it for my own purposes.  If you find any defects or need further instructions, or have any suggestions for future releases, please let me know.  I have in my own copy with further functionality, currently "work in progress"

Not sure which area to post this in, so decided on the "basics" area.  If this is wrong, let me know, ro move it  ::)

Enjoy!

Update on size - now just over 2MB and zipped up is only 41k.  You will need winzip though if you want the zipped version

If you email me, please let me know which version you'd like (they are the same; the zipped version just relies on you having winzip or equiv to unzip it...)  those of you who have already emailed me and not stated which, I have sent you an email to ask you!

I have emailed many copies now (not counted yet!)  I know I have a few more to email out, and that some of you have not heard back over the last two weeks, but My father had a serious accident recently and the prognosis is that if he is lucky, he may start learning to walk again in a years time... and I found out a few days back that I need to go into hosp tomorrow for a small op, so will not be near a PC for a few days.

So, please bear with me and if you have not heard from me by next Friday, please send me another email as I may have "lost" your email.

I am very glad to hear any feedback from those of you with suggestions or who have found it useful (especially the person who with the spreadsheet managed to avoid planting a potential huge carrot glut...)

Now signing off.

Mat,

I am happy to place the spreadsheet on the server to save you some hastle, you could then publish the link.

I can possibly give you ftp access to upload new versions as well.

Mike, thanks, that would be good.

I'll not publish it though, unless mat says it is OK.

Link not working - there was an additional '/' before domain name which when removed allowed access to home page. Alas, not to link.

Any chance of this being mailed?
