Had a visitor today, showing round and we found this in flower. What pleasure that gave us, best of all the flowers will get biggger and open up more.

Gorgeous! Any chance of some seed later? I could offer Trillium kurabayashii (not easy to germinate though) in return.

Not sure if it sets seeds, but if it does. Trillium k seed should be collected a soon as the seed pod ripens and sown immediately.

I noticed a single Helleborus orientalis (the common hybrid) fully out at the weekend, and a single snowdrop flowering in the middle of a patch of bare earth I dug over during the holidays. Nothing as nice as that though, and as I hadn't checked whether the camera batteries needed recharging, I couldn't even take pics.
