not so cute now!!!!!

well i caught him 'grey pawed'
the little grey squirrel that visits my garden, happily digging up & munching away on my crocus bulbs ( which have just recently poked their little noses through the soil ).
i don't mind him helping himself to the bird food but NOT my plants.
what can i do to prevent further damage?

Our local grey squirrel is even prepared to face up to the dogs in its greedy quest for even more nosh. Clearly recognises big softies when it sees them. ;)
