Anyone ever grown these?  Lots of stuff on the Web, but mostly American. T.i.a.

An advanced search on google using the exact phrase 'manteca beans' brought up a couple of testimonials from UK gardeners on the TKG forum. It produced less than a dozen references so not much searching is involved. As these are about 6 months old this may be a quicker route than searching their archives.

Never done it, but isn't it a lot of hassle to grow beans for drying when there are so many on the shelves?

I've just been looking at them in the Marshalls catalogue, Eric. See that 'Prim' is "non-flatulent"...name like that, it would be, wouldn't it?
