things going bang in the night

and no its not what your thinking ::)
fast asleep lastnight (well as you can with 2 children and large dog)
when i herd this almighty boom ,so loud it shook my windows.
jumping up i shouted
"what the bl...y hell was that"
OH very calmly said in a hung over stupor,
"oh probably a bomb or an earthquake"
then went back to sleep.
i lay waiting for a war, when the alarm came on telling of oil depot going up in hemmel.
thats 7 miles away :o imagine if you lived there :o
we are now all sitting in black smog :(

When my old man was hung over and fell asleep on sofa I used to leave back door wide open and go to bed.  He would wake up frozen rigid in the early hours  ;D
