Thank you very much for your birthday wishes. 

We spent the early part of yesterday getting rooms ready for relatives as we are having a big celebration on Saturday.  We stopped working though about 5.30pm then got ready for the evening as we were expecting friends to join us.  When they arrived, we had drinks on the patio outside our new summerhouse and then all went down to our local inn for a meal.  It was a lovely evening and I enjoyed it so much.   

I don't think it has sunk in yet that I am now a septuagenarian and don't feel any older than I was 20+ years ago.  I am certainly fitter and not so tired now having lost nearly 2 stone since March.      It's all due to following a very low carb diet since becoming diabetic.

I still come in here but now out of touch with everyone so just look at the posts nowadays. 
Hope you are keeping reasonably well.   This getting a bit older is not so good when things start breaking down.    Still, we keep smiling and carry on.....
