Hi all

Hi Lorna & thanks I'm getting there.

Hi Wardy I haven't gone to mad yet.

I'm a bit confused about what pots to put in all this first early second early first maincrop & late maincrop. My idea was to plant one lot and see what happened. Although there is a lot of space up there on lottie.

Any help & advice would be great.

Thanks Everyone. Kim

Down in Suffolk, not to much fuss about frosts? - I would go for a 1st early. The exotica of the potato world.

I see that Suffolk Herbs offer Oria this year -  " the most blight resistant 1st early ever".

Yes 1st earlies - new potatoes, must be the most delicious end of the potato crop, Tim is right without any doubt ...

Error, Error!

I'm not in Suffolk - just guessing the weather.

I'm not in Suffolk either, but I did have a great time in Southwold one week a few years ago.  Bit cold though.

Freshly dug new pots are a very good reason for living. Sadly this year was no good for anyone on our site. Don't know why.

Best of luck,
B.

You should try crabbing in Wlaberswick ,Boris!! Is great fun!! Fantastic sandy beach. shallow water....lovely! Southwold is the Cannes of Suffolk, sad but true, beach huts go for more than my house!  ::)

I'm not in Suffolk but will be over the first weekend in January if that helps your potato decision.

It did look very expensive, UP, but not just a holiday place, it seemed like a living working town. Must admit a big attraction for me was the Adnams beers. ;)

Boris, this year was my first year when I have had first earlies I was actually pleased with - International Kidney. So I am trying them again next year ...
