Just watched both gardening programmes on BBC2 and there seems to have been an unusual emphasis on vegetables  ... so, once again, why did they drop "The Big Dig" ?    {:¬ (

I missed it Aiken!  I was watching it but received two phone calls - one from niece who is just out of hospital (had a massive heart op at 29) who wanted to talk vegetables as she plans to eat herself well.  A woman after my own heart so to speak.  Then my other niece phoned, she's just signed for her first house and she wanted to talk about her dodgy flashing/kitchens etc  ;D  By the time I'd finished on the phone the programmes had finished and my OH was asleep.   :(

So what was the other prog apart from GW?
I came, I saw, I composted

hi wardy, won't ask about "dodgy flashing" *coughs* the other prog was "Garden School" ( and yup I hate it, but I take my ideas wherever I find them :P ) just b4 GW and Derm the Sperm suggested that they think of using vegetables in their garden design project for the RHS show    {:¬)#

well, they should have used some of the budget they spent on new equipment to help promote "The Big Dig"    :P
