Have to say the one in Canterbury wasn't much good from a vegetables perspective.  It's nothing to do with growing veg but about converting you to being vegetarian or even better (according to them) vegan.  There was a lot of bumph on cruelty to animals etc and a few stalls giving out free dishes of Green Thai curry etc.

A vegetarian organisation I have not heard of - bookmarked it.  Martin Shaw says it all really with this quote:

I became vegetarian in 1971 when after a series of intense discussions with a friend, I came to the conclusion that if I can live well and be healthy without killing, my only justification for doing so would be for taste, and I'm not prepared to kill and cause suffering because of my palate - my palate is irrelevant.

What he is saying is that being vegetarian may mean sacrificing some tastes but at the expense of gaining many new ones that do not involve eating meat.
