Lawnmower Aerators

anyone ever tried turning their lawnmower iinto an aertor???

im still cutting my lawn frequently and probably will be in a few weeks time so i wondered about if i could kill two birds with one stone. i mean the wheels go up and down and do nothing, wondered about connecting a small blade onto them or similar to slit the lawn etc and save me a lot of time!
