Wow, just found this:

http://www.rvroger.co.uk/

Fantastic selection of fruit trees, they have apples I've never heard of and quite a few heritage varieties. Well worth a look.  :)

A cautionary note.  I ordered 10 canes of raspberries from them a few days ago.  Their prices seemed extremely reasonable.  It was only when I had placed my order that they e-mailed me to warn me of the £10 (!) carriage charge.  The hitherto reasonable prices became uncompetitive and unaffordable.  I cancelled the order.  Possibly a good site but for large orders only.

Oh dear, sorry to hear that Jill. They are not too far from us so we'll probably pop over and pick up an order when we are ready for it.

In the company's defence all their carriage (sic) charges are outlined on their site and can be accessed from the home page.  Better than many others IMHO which only give charges on the order confirmation page e.g. Amazon.  However I do agree that they are a bit steep.

I would also say promising site as all the veggie bits are still under develpoment so they will have to wait for 'brilliant'

Redclanger, the problem was that the £10 carriage charge didn't appear at all on the order confirmation page or on the payment page.  Even the automatic e-mail receipt I received didn't show the £10.  I was however grateful for the e-mail that arrived the following day warning me of the charge so that I could cancel.

Promising company only if you can collect or have a very large order (or have bags of money and just don't care).

I have used these people in the past, for fruit and shrubs. I have always ordered over the phone though so I can speak to them direct. (They are often out in the nursery when you ring and they are on cordless phones. They actually selected my black current plants as I spoke to them).

I find them very helpful and the quality of their plants is excellent, I will use them again.
