I suppose it`s o.k. if you like moving wallpaper.  Personally I regard a bad T.V. evening as one in which the T.V. and I are in the same room together.  I admit that I sometimes start to watch a programme with my wife, but after 10 minutes or so I usually think of something far more interesting that I want to do.
