Well this morning one of my warrens laid an egg that weighed 107g!!  :o

I've had a few big ones before but this is a real beast and is probably twice the size of a normal egg!

Is this a record for allotments4all?

We've had some big eggs, always double yolkers, but I've never weighed them. I will next time. 107g sounds very big, poor thing :o :D

Well our biggest was about 86g before this monster, and they are always double yolkers, but I knew this was a biggie as it was like holding a tennis ball in your hand.

Hubby said it was gorgeous!  ;D

Hi Kitty, nice to see you around :-)

Daughter not too well again so not posting as often as I should but im always here listening lol.

Hmmm I havent heard anything about big eggs, but the other day we had another one, this time 93g so someone likes to show off!

The are warrens which are typical battery hens, so bred for eggs.  They are free ranging all over my garden and eating all my plants so its a good job the eggs are big as a thankyou!
