at this time of the year...?

Do you find yourself slowing down with the growing?

I'm sure it's connected to the summer solstice, I start to lose interest in sowing things and starting new projects as the days get shorter. I keep meaning to sow more salad things, carrots, beetroot, etc but haven't got around to it. And there's a flower bed I keep meaning to renovate, but just can't get myself started on it.

I fine with maintaining what I already have, just don't want to start anything new. I'm sure it's connected to the seasons: after the winter solstice I cannot wait to start sowing and March is an absolute frenzy of sowing and starting new digging projects.

Harvesting right now I love (not that there's much of it!) and compost making.

Am I alone in this?

The summer months are also warm and balmy, just right for relaxing. :)

Agree the drive is on the wane, I actually finished some of my seeds for salad etc, and somehow have not got the incentive to go buy some more.

Like you, got onto the harvesting, jam making, chutney content gathering.  Maybe this is why we loose sight of planting new things - couldn't do that AND do preserves?  :)

Also need to build up reserves for the spring frenzy  ;D

No, I am feeling tired and less motivated now, can't even be bothered sometimes to weed and stuff like that. Guess that there may be a seasonal cycle as you say.

Hippy  ;D ;D

I feel the same but because it is a new plot and I am a teacher I am having to do lots of work up at the lottie at the moment to bring it up to speed.  As I was doing this I sowed some more veg and salad stuff.  There is of course the spring cabbage and Kale to sow for over winter and early spring.
