Marshalls - Sad Day for Staff

Very sad day for staff at Marshalls and Unwins today.  After many years trading from Histon, Chester and Wisbech, business is being moved to Alconbury with the loss of about 100 jobs (which as they are classed as voluntary, don't get reported).

I would just like to wish all of the girls and guys good luck for the future, and thanks for the many years of good service.

As a casualty of redundancies in Coventry over and over again, my heart reaches out to these people. 'Progress' has much to answer for.

Good old Marshalls  :)   I'm glad they're still going despite losing staff.  With all the membership on this site and ones like us, and hopefully a resurgence of lottying, things will improve for the seed merchants.  There does seem to be more of them than there used to be though
