Trentham Gardens revisited

I visited Trentham Gardens only just over a month ago, and returned yesterday. Despite the drizzle it was lovely to see how the gardens have developed in such a short time. So here's some more photos!

This lovely swan/goose was planted with sedum - it doesn't look quite as graceful as the real thing but is still stunning:
The gardens had matured and the colours seemed more intense
Most of the urns were newly restored, and each was planted with rich red fuchsias - they could be seen a long way off!
The last time I visited this upper garden was just being planted. Shame I couldn't get any higher to take the photo but I think you still get the idea of what it looks like!

Enjoy today to the full.  You are not sure of a tomorrow.

It's a pleasure Marianne, and thank you for your lovely comments!

Trentham Gardens are south of Stoke on Trent, and are part of a huge area which is being regenerated. They had a garden at Chelsea this year and when I saw the bit on the BBC coverage it inspired me to visit.

Hi Plocket

What stunning pix.  Thanks for letting us share your visit.  I love garden visiting myself and this board is a great way for letting us "visit" gardens that are too far away for a quick trip!  Btw, hope you got some rain in the garden yesterday!  It is very grey and cloudy here this morning and I think it may well pour down - just cos I have all the bed linen for washing!

Thanks again Plocket!

Plocket. Wonderful pics, have gone over them a few times, just superb. Thanks Lorna.

Hi Plocket, :D

Thank you for letting me know where the gardens are situated.

I will have to try and get up there to have a look myself, I just adore visiting other people's gardens.  They are all different in style and colour -

I am sorry to say I didn't watch Chelsea this year as I believe it clashed with a programme my OH was watching at the time ::)

Thanks once again !  :D ;D

Trentham Gardens are in Stoke-on-Trent. About 10 mins away from where I live.
Be kind to slugs and snails!
