Thinking for next year

Started to try and compile a list of seeds to get for next year. Has anyone tried any of the following and would they recommend them.

1. Carrots- Carrot Parmex(enclosed photo)
2. Beetroot- Burpees golden
3. Cucumbers outdoor- Jazzer and crystal apple.
4. Tomato- Outdoor girl and Red alert
5. Runner beans- Polestar
6. Sprouts- Dolmic and Rubine

DD   Have grown and eaten Red Alert toms and I thought they were fine.
Have grown Parmex carrot "Paris Market" this year and on taste I wasn't impressed eating them raw but I cooked a load and they were very nice  :)

I've got six sprout 'Rubine' plants. Very attractive colour, strong and not too many caterpillars...Won't know what the taste is like for a few months yet...

Agree with Wardy about Red Alert toms...

Parmex carrots are good if your soil is stony - otherwise a bit fiddly.

Have tried the Burpees Golden this year, and am eating the first 5 tonight. Good shape and form, but germination was a bit hit and miss, and only 10% to 15% success rate from a packet with hundreds of seeds.

Will try again next year, but only with non-heritage seeds.

all the old boys down at the plot are raving about Blue Lake french beans this year so they are on my list for next year.  Only those who got heat treated onion sets (fortunetely I did - Red Baron) haven't had any white rot problem as well.  May just be a coincidence but who knows.  Think I might try some of the heritage seeds for something a bit different but haven't decided what yet.  Lance

DD - am growing Red Alert toms for the first time this year, so although I cannot comment on the eventual taste, they are producing a lot of toms and have been easy to manage (no pinching out etc).
