Use your egg-slicer to slice up your boiled beetroot for bottling saves no amout of time and cut fingers.Cant fit the very large ones in of course but works just gr8 for the others.

To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven: a time to be born and time to die: a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted.     Ecclesiastes, 3:1-2

Egg slicers are fantastic. I've got an all-metal one which has been happily slicing eggs, potatoes, mushrooms etc for years.

Got it for 2 quid from Ikea!!!!
