Things are growing in earnest now!

Quite pleased with the parsnips which are in the 2 nearest beds, and the broad beans at the back of the 1st piccy.

Looking back up the other way are my leeks in the foreground, shallots & garlic next and onions in the background.

Sorry about the weeds, the sheer intensity of their growth has been a suprise. Shouldn't have been considering that's all that's grown there for getting on 5 years.

I have tried to grow as wide a range of crops as I can this 1st year including:-

Lettuce - romaine & little gem
Onions - red/white/spring
Leeks
Garlic
Beetroot
Early & Maincrop potatoes
Parsnips
Broad beans
Carrots
Radish
Turnips
Cabbage
Runner & french beans
Broccoli
Romanescu sp?
Swede
Celeriac
Tomatoes
Cucumbers
Butternut squash
Courgette
Brussel sprouts

It's been quite an experience so far!!  ;D

Oh my eyes, just look at all those weeds, you lazy allotmenteer you!  WHAT WEEDS MOTHY!!!  Looks marvelous, neat and tidy and lush and green!!  You have worked so hard, and it shows!  Glad you are now enjoying the fruits (and veg) of your labours!

Really impressive Mothy.  Everything is blooming beautifully. You have got a fantastic range of things to enjoy.  I love this time of year when it all comes together.  Forgotten is all the hard work that goes into it.  This is what makes it all worthwhile.   :) busy_lizzie
