I lifted my elephant garlic, Very please with the size of them.  Absolutly huge!

I noticed that there were several baby cloves outside of the main bulb. Could I plant store these and plant them in the autumn?

It seems rather early to lift elephant garlic. I will not lift mine for another month at least. Yes, you can try and grow on the offsets, but they will form one large circular clove in a year's time, rather than split up into individual cloves.

I grew hephalump garlic last year and mine produced lots of little tiny cloves, which I planted up into pots and have had in a corner in the garden.  I plan to plant them on the allotment this autumn to see if they now grow full size.

I too have tried planting my elephant garlic babies, but I don't think they wanted to grow. I am not too unhappy as didn't really rate it. Yes it's big, but the taste is somewhat lacking. Then again, one should always be wary of the wolf in sheep's clothing - elephant garlic isn't actually garlic at all!!
