fruit/veg planting calander

Does anyone know of one?

I keep looking at the back of seed packs and everything is done april/may/june.

I am after a calender or list that shows what can be sown in each month - so when it gets to november i may be able to plant something and always have fresh fruit/veg.

don't know of a comprehensive list like that.
try the gardener's almanac for some info

also, there is some kind of calendar in joy larkcom's book (grow your own vegetables) which may or may not be useful.

i think using common sense, you can extend your sowing times beyond what it says on the packet. if the plant you are growing is quite quick maturing, you should be able to sow until much later in the year and still get a crop.
likewise, plants that need a long time to mature are probably getting too late now to get started.

A lot also depends on where you are in the country and if you can give the plants protection. I'm going to keep sowing root veg to grow as baby veg until about October/November under fleece or cloches (thanks to EJ's suggestion). I'm in the South East. If you were in the North and didn't give them protection, you wouldn't be able to do that.

You can set your location so it adjusts the internal frost dates and gives planting dates for your area - it has a planting calendar - not the most comprehensive but a good basic advice site.

I've got the monthly calendar from the Organic Gardening Catalogue which is really helpful for a newbie like me.  Only thing is, you need to make sure you adjust the suggested dates if you live further north like me.
