Just a set of links between sites on "similar" topics, or for "similar" interests.

There are two parts -
  • the hub, where the sites in the ring are listed (and to which a website applies to be included);  clicking on the "Ring Hub" link (bottom of my front page) takes you through to a listing of 63 member allotment and allotment related sites.
  • a bit of code on each member website, which allows the user to navigate quickly and easily to the hub, and between member sites - at random, or in member order.

Nice idea - but my experience is that webrings are a mixed blessing.  Some fly, many sink without trace.  With a good moderator, they stay close and tight; with weaker moderation, the rings degrade;  lots of fierce sales related sites become members, and eventually the genuine interest sites get a bit lost.

All best - Gavin
