Shrubs

Abelia is a genus of deciduous, semi-evergreen, and evergreen shrubs grown for their foliage and freely produced flowers. They are fully to half-hardy, and will benefit being planted against the protection of a south or west facing wall in cold winter areas.

Fully Hardy: Height: 20ft (6m) Spread: 20ft (6m) Foliage: Having pointed, deep-green, leaves. Flowers: During mid-Summer produces highly fragrant white flowers tinged with pale-pink.





Cultivation: -

Requires a sunny position in fertile, well-drained soil

In late Spring prune out dead wood, and following flowering, if required remove older branches to restrict growth.

Increase your stock by taking softwood cuttings in Summer
