Green, brown or black flies, of small size but always in great numbers, infest various crops. Spray with soapy water or with paraffin emulsion, made as follows: Dissolve a handful of soft soap in boiling water. Add a wineglassful of paraffin and two gallons of water. Common pests and how to deal with them
