Field Scabious and Bush Vetch
« on: April 15, 2021, 20:27:13 »
I had Field Scabious last year for the first time ever in hanging baskets. It did well and died down over winter.
It is all dry and dead now - should it come back or is no good?

Can anyone suggest something good for pollinators that will do well in hanging baskets?  Ideally something that can take me forgetting about watering it for a couple of days

Thymes - plenty of forms available with plain or variegated foliage and loads of flowers for pollinators plus lovely herby bits for you and they can cope with neglect as longa s they're well planted to start with.

Failing that, have a look at the RHS lists of plants for pollinators - https://www.rhs.org.uk/science/conservation-biodiversity/wildlife/plants-for-pollinators
