My outdoor toms have either been binned due to blight or have hardly set fruit yet alone started to turn colour! Those indoors look healthy still, but the fruit are very small and still very green! Hey ho! Looks like I'll be buying passata for sauces and soups this coming winter.

Winecap, I like Latah too, a nice tomato. I'm not growing any this year though.

Don't lose heart Tricia, you never know perhaps we will have an Indian summer  ;D

What's a tomato?

I've got two greenhouses with plants in, plus a lean-to - 25 in total - plus two beds outside - another 50 or so - and I've got about six green tomatoes in total. The fruit isn't setting and the blossoms are falling off. And one bed has blight, even though I've sprayed twice.

I normally reckon to freeze enough sauce and puree to last the year. I think it's tinned for me for the next twelve months. And as for chutney....

lol hope they are good ones  ;D
But sadly it looks like homegrown ripe tomatoes are going to be precious this year.

Sorry to hear that Trevor, I've got blight here on my toms too, inside and out  :( Hoping I caught it early enough to at least get a few more ripe ones. I've removed loads of foliage and check twice a day for new spots. I love tomatoes  :'(

So,thats a tomato....same here, both GH and PT have awesome green growth and the outdoors and hangers aint much different, just NO fruit amoungst em....well Pea sized.
No blight as yet,but the 30 or so glass jars I had planned to store Italian Marzano will now be filled with different amounts of water and set up "drum kit style"and played rythym section with 2 rhubarb stalks to the sun gods as mere pleading has fallen on deaf ears..... :(

The Glaciers are starting to change colour - pretty late considering they are an ultra early variety.  A welcome sight  :)

Same here, Trevor. Loads of greenery on the toms in the greenhouses, plus a few flowers (that I've been trying to pollinate with a pigeon feather and by shaking) but not a set fruit yet. Ones at the plot have lots of flowers, no set fruit either. Those for sale in the front garden, have had bud drop.

A fruitless season so far  :'(

The jetstream is going northwards up the country so here's hoping for a late summer (I don't want and Indian one as that involves frost!)

I noticed my first tomato starting to turn red today - Gardeners delight!

I've got quite a lot of green toms in the green house. It's great to see them start to turn. I can't wait to try them out.
