Since I gave up half my plot last year, the people who took over the other half have done nothing to help keep down the weeds on the path down the middle, and haven't donw much with their half either. I've sometimes strimmed their bit in the hope of encouraging them.
After 3 weeks away of course the grass on the path and the dandelions were knee-high. I went down on Wed but was still too jet-lagged to do anything, so went yesterday armed with my strimmer and- amazingly- the whole path and teh overgrown part of their side had been strimmed to the ground! I've yet to find out whether they got a warning letter or have given it up and someone new has taken over!. It was certainly a relief not to have to strim in that heat! Weeding was bad enough.
