So sorry to hear people are going through tough times  :-\A bit of good news although I'm afraid to voice it. Our friend's daughter, Georgina's medication seems to be working after 2 tough years  :-X

At last something positive with the poor girl
When I get old I don't want people thinking
"What a sweet little old lady"........
                             I want em saying
"Oh Crap! Whats she up to now ?"

My dad who is 91 has just come through an operation under general anaesthetic with flying colours- he had injured his shoulder and broken his elbow and arm,  He is looking and progressing well. The hospital and social services are setting up a decent rehabilitation effort too. Great to see after an anxious time.  :)

Our garden is cat alley Doris & our chickens just stand & stare at them.

My good news is that at Weight Watchers yesterday I had lost 3lbs. A total of 3st 2lbs. Only 2st 6lbs to go to my maximum BMI. Yippee, that's less that 2.5 stone ;D & I still can't say that I've done much exercise & the last 2 weeks I've done very little with John being poorly.

Isn't it better to read this thread rather than watch the grim news on the telly every evening. Some lovely news.

Our Olympic Closing Ceremony tickets arrived today. Courtesy of our son who bade for them earlier in the year, up in the Gods and not very good with heights so this will take an extra special effort  :)

We went to our special needs group leaving 'do' today, made me really proud to see them getting the special photograph books Helen had made for them, a few tears as we will miss them. Some will still be there but Edward was special  :)
