Bug clear and pther pesticides
« on: May 07, 2011, 17:26:16 »
Hello all.

I seem to remember reading somewhere that a number of commonly used chemicals were being banned by the EU this year. This has an impact on some commonly used products on the allotment. Bug clear was one, but I thought there a lot more. Also there were some dates, after which they shouldn't be used.

If you can provide any information on this it would be appreciated as I know our allotment shop has bug clear and probably other products that are not meant to be sold any more.

Regards

Brand-name pesticides are brand-names precisely because the company can change the formulation to suit current legislation and only change the small-print on the bottle.....

Usually those banned chemicals with their brand names are listed on Defra's website..
