Greenacre (ex Gardeners World garden)
« on: April 04, 2011, 20:18:36 »
Whilst i am pleased that Monty has returned to GW and its great to see his own garden rather than a staged TV garden, i was quite saddened to read and see pictures of what had happened to the old Green-acre Garden, used up until last year. It seems thy have effectively been abandoned, the structures, beds and borders allowed to go to rack and ruin. Aside from the shocking waste of TV licence fee payers money, I hate to see any garden be abandoned and neglected in this way.

ON seeing the pictures of it in its ruinous state i am starting to change my veiws on the changes to GW this series. I now wish there was some way that Monty and his garden could have been brought into the show while still keeping Greenacre as a TV garden. I was never a big fan of the garden but it did bring GW the closest it had ever come to the 'magic' of Beechgrove Garden.
