just changed mine after stumbling across a fab website that makes an avatar of yourself for free! It's called www.faceyourmanga.com something to do on a snowy morning!

When you receive the picture in the email, right-click on it then on 'Save picture as'

How /where do I import a photo ?

All I get is "Create a Mangatar" screen which allows me to create one from scratch.
