Seems like we are all getting the gales. I was a little upset today, young Lorna bought her Dad  a "tubular thing" something like an umbrella stand which he kept his walking sticks in. Since he died I have used it in the garden with a pot of plants sitting on top, today the d**n wind blew the lot over and smashed everything. Yet for 5 years it has stood up to all the strong winds even the ones that broke the fence panels.

It's a pain isn't it, I've not lost any veg plants but a coldframe glass and it's been ripping flowers clean off the climbing rose.  :o

The winds were supposed to be strongest here.

It was windy but no damage done.

Horribly destructive .......... grrrrr

Canterbury Bells and tall Poppies lifted clean out of the ground  - what a pity it doesn't do the same for the weeds!

If you want a calm - try launching a kite, spreading fleece or photographing the wind!!

That was the 6th attempt!
